Realcovery House Rules
As a guest here at the Realcovery House you are expected to follow the rules of the house
· Consumption or possession of drugs or alcohol in any form is strictly prohibited andwill result in immediate removal,
· You must be fully clothed at all the times, to include shoes,
· You must bath daily and maintain personal hygiene,
· Guns and weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate Removal,
· Smoking or Vaping inside the house is not tolerated,
· No fighting or acts of violence. You will not argue, threaten, or fight with anyone on this property,
· All beds must be made daily,
· You will be assigned a daily chore,
· You will clean up any mess you make every time,
· No loud music or TV after 10pm,
· You will not eat any kind of food in the Livingroom,
· No personal Items to be left in the common areas,
· No smoking outside after 10pm,
· No Guests allowed,
· All dishes must be done after meals,
· Kitchen appliances, counter tops, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, etc. will be cleaned and returned to their respective place after each use,
· Washer and Dryer- Be Courteous- Clean dryer lint screens before and after every use,
· Do not leave clothes unattended in washer/dryer,
· Mark food/leftovers with name and date when initially placed in the refrigerator,
· Unmarked foods will be disposed of,
· You will maintain your sobriety while staying here. And you are subject to a random drug and/or alcohol test any time the house manager or his assistant deems it necessary,
· Do not bring personal items (bedding, kitchenware, household items, TV can be discussed),
· You must have a Valid driver's license, insurance, and registration before you bring a vehicle on this property. Where you park your vehicle will be determined by the house manager. You will need to park at the end of the road if no parking is available. No parking in front of any other houses at any time,
· Everyone is responsible for keeping everyone accountable and working together to support each other in their recovery,
· Regular meeting attendance and actively participating in your recovery is a must. This is a Transitional Sober Living House and will be ran as such,
· As a guest, you must respect the residents of this house and their rights to the functions of this house,
· Relapse- if a resident tests positive for any substances they will be removed from the property and the lease agreement is voided immediately,
· All prescription drugs are to be locked in a locker with a functional lock attached
· You are an adult and 100% personally responsible for managing, administering and placing refills on your medications,
· Everyone must agree to allow house managers to count medications whenever they deem necessary,
· Any medication misconduct will be considered a relapse and resident will be asked to vacate the premises immediately,
· If you are unable to get along with other residents or house managers, you will be removed from the premises (fighting, verbal altercations, disrespect of persons),
· Drug testing’s/ breathalyzer tests will be done weekly. Any positive test results will result in removal from the house. Residents will have 15 minutes to remove themselves and 48 hours to pick up any belongings left behind. Pick up must be scheduled with house manager,
· House manager may drug test or breathalyzer whenever deemed necessary,
· Curfew is 11pm. No smoking, hanging out in the front or backyard after curfew. If you are working nights. House manager should have your schedule in advance,
· You are responsible for keeping the house tidy and clean. Failure to do so will result in a write up. After 3 write ups within 3-month period your stay will be terminated,
· You can be ask to leave any time and have no renter’s rights in regard to eviction laws at Realcovery transitional living house,
· Overnight passes must be approved 24 hours prior to the date of the pass. Resident will be drug tested/ breathalyzed upon return,
· No visitors unless approved by house manager,
· Weekly chores will be assigned by the house manager. Any failure to complete chores
will result in a write up,
· No pets,
· Rent is due on every Friday of each week; late fees will be placed 48 hours after
· nonpayment. Late fee is $25.00 and it will be added to your rent. If your rent is not collected before the next Friday collection day, you will be asked to leave,
· Rent starts at $150 weekly; A one-time deposit of $300.00 Will be collected from each resident. This is a Non-refundable deposit. This deposit is used towards normal wear and tear and supplies provided. before you move in. Supplies provided will be paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, dish soap, cleaning supplies,
· You are financially responsible for any broken and damaged property of Realcovery House.
· IF Realcovery house decides to terminate the lease agreement for any reason, you agree to vacate the property the same day,
· Realcovery house is not responsible for any relapse, self-harm or overdose that takes place. Realcovery House is a substance free living environment,
· Realcovery House is not responsible for personal items that are lost or stolen,
· You do not for any reason remove any mail of any kind from the mailbox,
· You can not give, sell or trade any medicines while you are here, It is resident’s responsibility to purchase a medication lock box. All medications will be subject to being counted at any time by house manager. Gross negligence regarding medications will result in termination,
· You can not add, remove, or modify anything on this property,
· You are not allowed to borrow or loan any money with anyone on this property,
· There will be no toleration of theft or damage to property,
· Do not bring any items of monetary value or sentimental values to this house,
· When you leave this house, anything you leave here will be disposed of three days after you leave,
· You cannot participate in any activity that may interfere with the sobriety of anyone here,
· You are required to attend the Monday night house meeting at 7:00pm and any other meeting the house manager tells you to attend,
· The length of your stay here will be determined by the house manager or his assistant. Your conduct on or off the property while you are staying here can result in you being removed from this property,
· 2-week notice will be asked if and when you are ready to move out
Drug Testing Consent
I understand that I can be tested for drugs and/or alcohol at any time, for any reason, per my agreement with Realcovery House. I am aware that if I am positive, refuse compliance, or attempt to cheat/circumvent the test in any way, I will be discharged from the Realcovery House and required to leave the premises immediately. My signature below indicates my understanding and consent.
Consent for search of personal items
I understand that my personal items, vehicle, living area and bedding can be searched at any time by the house manager. Residents will be present during all searches. If any contraband is found (drugs, alcohol, paraphernalia, weapons, medication not prescribed to you) Resident will be asked to leave immediately and lease agreement will be VOID.
